Measuring the cuff edge so the number of rows for the inside edge of the frill can be calculated accurately

	After blocking and steaming, the frill is ready to be attached to the sleeve

The frill was knitted using waste yarn to start and finish. The stitches could then be picked up on the machine and the edges joined together by pulling one set of stitches through the other and casting off with the latch tool.

	The frill was pinned to the cuff edge then hand-sewn together with backstitch
