How to cast on using the cable method

Step 1
 Needle through first stitch

Put the slip knot on to the left-hand needle and push right-hand needle through the stitch 		Step 2
Yarn round needle

Wrap yarn around right-hand needle


Step 3
 Draw yarn through stitch

Draw yarn through first stitch

Step 4
 Place new stitch on needle

Hook new stitch on to left-hand needle


Step 5
 Two stitches on needle

Now two stitches on needle

Step 6
 Left-hand needle between two stitches

Push right-hand needle between the last two stitches made


Step 7
 Yarn round left-hand needle

Yarn round right-hand needle

Step 8
 Draw yarn through

Draw yarn through


Step 9
 Put stitch on left-hand needle

Put stitch on left-hand needle

Step 10
 Continue until enough

Continue until enough stitches cast on
